This is your chance to compete with some of the best bass anglers in the region and win a huge $10\,000 prize. The tournament will be held on August 10\, 2024\, on the mighty Mississippi River. You will have to choose which pools of the river to fish\, each with its own challenges and opportunities. \nThe first pool is a smallmouth bass paradise\, where you can catch big bronzebacks in the current. You will need to use finesse techniques\, such as drop-shotting\, shaky heads\, and Ned rigs\, to entice the wary fish. The smallmouths are feeding on shad and crayfish\, and they can put up a great fight on light tackle. The second pool is a largemouth bass haven\, where you can find green fish in the thick vegetation and wood cover. You will need to use power fishing methods\, such as top water fishing\, flipping\, pitching\, swim jigs and spinnerbait fishing\, to trigger the aggressive fish. DESCRIPTION:La Crosse\, Wisconsin Bass Fishing Tournament Site \nLansing\, Iowa Bass Fishing Info – Pool 9 \nThe Bites “95” bass fishing tournament series has released its schedule and rules for 2024. The schedule is the last to come out every year so that the dates can be worked around all the other events up and down the river. Here are the details of the changes made to the Bites “95” format for 2024: \n\nThe Open Events will not be held for 2024 due to lack of participation. The sentiment from the anglers was that they did not want to fish other pools\, the purse was too small due to the amount of boats and the amount of other tournaments the anglers were involved in.\nTwo new events have been added: a Couples Male Female Event and a Singles Event. Both of these events may be used to qualify for the end year event. No membership fee is required for these two events.\nIt will no longer take 5 events to qualify for the end year event. That number of 5 has been reduced to 4 events.\nThe end year event is no longer called a “Championship”. The year-end event will be similar to the Super BFL in the fall. It will be a two-day event with a cut to the top 10 boats for day two. All the weights from day 1 will be erased and the top 10 boats will start at 0 for day 2. The top 3 boats of day 1 will have a payout. The rest of the purse will be transferred to day 2. $10 from each entry fee from earlier events will be held back for the year-end event tournament purse.
