DESCRIPTION:2026 Iowa’s BEST Solo Bass Trail Rules\nWelcome to the 2026 Iowa’s BEST Solo Bass Trail! All anglers are expected to compete with honesty\, integrity\, and respect for fellow participants and the waters we fish. Please review the official tournament rules carefully before each event. \n\n🐟 Catch & Weigh-In Rules\n\n\n5-fish limit – no length restriction. \n\n\nDead fish penalty: 1 lb per dead fish. \n\n\nNo culling dead fish. Dead fish cannot be weighed for Big Bass. \n\n\nBig Bass tie-breaker: Big fish breaks tie on bag limit. Big bag breaks tie on Big Bass. \n\n\nWeigh-in begins 15 minutes after check-in time. \n\n\n\n⚓ Blast-Off & Check-In Procedures\n\n\nBlast position determined by dowel draw at the ramp. \n\n\nThe dowel must be returned to the check-in boat before the official check-in time. \n\n\nPenalty: 1 lb per minute late\, up to 15 minutes. \n\n\nAfter 15 minutes\, total weight = 0 lbs for the day (not a disqualification). \n\n\n\n\n\n🧭 On-the-Water Conduct\n\n\nThe angler occupying water has exclusive rights to fishable space within a reasonable casting distance. \n\n\nOther anglers may not cast into that area without permission. \n\n\n\n\nAny law enforcement citation on the water = disqualification for that event. \n\n\nNo live bait\, no trolling\, no snagging\, and no unconventional fishing methods. \n\n\nAlabama rigs are allowed but limited to 1 hook only. \n\n\nNon-puncture cull tags only. Use of puncture cull tags = disqualification. \n\n\n\n⚖️ Sportsmanship & Conduct\n\n\nAll state and federal laws must be followed at all times. \n\n\nNo alcohol or illegal substances during tournament hours. \n\n\nUnsportsmanlike behavior may result in disqualification at the tournament director’s discretion. \n\n\nRespect fellow anglers\, boaters\, and anyone enjoying the lake. Sportsmanship is expected from everyone. \n\n\n\n🏆 Protests\, Points & Disqualifications\n\n\nAny on-the-water protest must be filed before weigh-in begins. \n\n\nAnglers may protest the scalemaster if weigh-in procedures are not followed. \n\n\nDisqualification (DQ): \n\n\nResults in 0 AOY points for the event. \n\n\nThe disqualified event cannot be dropped from AOY standings. \n\n\n\n\nThe tournament director has final authority on all rulings\, penalties\, and protests. \n\n\n\n✅ Angler Responsibility\nBy entering the Iowa’s BEST Solo Bass Trail\, you agree to follow these rules\, maintain good sportsmanship\, and promote ethical competitive fishing throughout the 2026 season. \nIowa’s BEST Solo Bass Trail – 2026 Season Announcement\nAttention all anglers!\nAll permits are approved and Iowa’s BEST is now accepting entries for the inaugural 2026 season! \nI’m excited to take over the solo trail previously hosted by Weekend Warriors Bass Tournaments.
