Rules and additional information:
General rules:
5 fish, no length limit. It is illegal to cull a dead fish. Dead fish penalty is 1lb. Chip draw at ramp, morning of the event. Chip must be in possession of the check in boat before check in time. 1lb/minute penalty until chip is returned, up to 15 minutes, then DQ’d. The angler occupying water has sole occupancy of that water, as far as they can cast. Other participants cannot cast into that water without permission. Any ticket given to an angler on the water by law enforcement will result in disqualification of that event. No live bait. Not trolling. No intentional snagging or unconventional means of catching fish. All state and federal laws must be followed while on the water. No use of alcohol or illegal substances during competition hours. Non-puncture cull tags only. Using a puncture cull tag will result in disqualification from that event. Alabama rigs are allowed, with 1 hook only. Big fish breaks tie on bag limit. Big bag breaks tie on big fish. You cannot weigh dead fish for your big fish. Weigh in starts 15 minutes after check in time. Any protests must be done before weigh in starts, unless the protest is directly related to the scalemaster, which it should be announced immediately. It is the sole discretion of the tournament director to determine punishment, if needed, based on protests.
TOC Points/Angler Of the Year:
TOC qualification will be a total of 12 anglers. The winner of each qualifier automatically wins a berth to the ToC. No angler can double qualify. The winner of the King Of The Hill (as long as they are participating in the 2024 Solo Series) also wins a berth to the ToC. The remaining spots for the ToC will be filled by anglers with the highest point totals for their best 4 of 5 qualifiers. The lowest finish point total will be dropped from every participant. This point system is also used for the AOY race, and will include points from the TOC. Best 4 finishes in qualifiers + 2-day ToC points will determine the AoY. If there is a tie in AoY, a specialty event will be developed for the anglers based on the director’s discretion. ToC blast off position will be determined daily by chip draw.
Points are totals by your total weight + your finish
1st place = 30 points
2nd place = 29 points etc.
1st place + 21.77lbs (your sack for the day) = 51.77 points.
2023 AOY race was determined by 1.67 points. EVERY CAST COUNTS!
While there is potential to increase the payout through sponsorship, at this time we have not sought out 2024 commitments yet. This information is the guaranteed format and payouts with 30 boats participating. For additional information, please reach out to use on Facebook, or call Nick at 712-310-8440.
