Things you should know about tournament bass fishing at Lake Anita.
The lake has ample restrooms that always seem clean and well maintained. Bass tournament anglers will appreciate the attention to detail when enjoying the park.
This bass haven is a hidden little gem nestled just south of Interstate 80, west of Des Moines. Similar to popular fisheries, Anita boasts excellent shoreline structure. As a result, top water fishing can be outstanding and leave angles headed home with sore thumbs. Because of nearby deep water, spinning tackle can be very productive as well in the right situations making Anita an excellent fishery. Of the several nearby bass fishing lakes this lake has ample vegetation and seems primed for stardom. Because this lake has little local pressure its future is bright and conservation of the fish population seems promising.
The Iowa DNR has done wonders here and its a must fish spot for all anglers. Lets all do our part and keep it neat and tidy for generations to come.
