I-Bass – West Lake Okoboji

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Iowa-based I-BASS tournament series returns to West Lake Okoboji for the second time in 2026—and this one feels even bigger. The Iowa Sportsman+1 In fact, West Okoboji is famously tied to Iowa trophy smallmouth history—often cited as the home water of the state-record smallmouth bass. Game & Fish Magazine
By late July, the lake turns into a true tournament puzzle: expansive water, countless options, and fish that can make you look brilliant—or humble—within a single hour. That combination of big-bite potential and big-water decision making is exactly why this second Okoboji stop is one of the most highly anticipated events on the I-BASS schedule.
Be sure to swing over to nearby Spirit Lake while in the area. The smallmouth bite can be fantastic!
